Provider Resources

As a dental care provider, it is your compassionate care, education and advocacy that will change the face of dentistry throughout the world.

We want to support you in every way we can. You are the one who is truly working to heal global dental disease in the simplest, most effective, pain-free, and economical way possible. We want to help you succeed.

Overview

We develop and organize the very best strategies, techniques, and tools, and deliver them in streamlined educational materials so that you can help lead the revolution in dentistry that is occurring today. We want to see you give your patients the most advanced, kind, affordable, and effective dental care that humanity has ever seen.

If you are with an aid organization, NGO or government working with deeply impoverished communities, we offer our In The Bush program. We can train your community workers to deliver highly effective, compassionate dental care and education out of a backpack in even the most austere conditions.

Our work is based on seeing the mouth as it truly is: a complex biological system, embedded in a person and in a community. That means we focus on:

  • Medical Management of Caries, or MMC. We use Silver Diamine Fluoride, Povidone Iodine, Silver Nitrate + Fluoride Varnish and potentially other formulations to treat decay.
  • Glass Ionomer restorations as part of MMC to create permanent, highly effective restorations with zero-pain, minimally invasive excavation.
  • Minimally invasive excavation with hand-burs, spoon excavators, and papa-cari instead of high-speed handpieces.
  • Patient hygiene and lifestyle habits focused on microbiome management over simple mechanical plaque removal.
  • Personal and Community development, because the healthiest mouth will be found in a healthy person living in a healthy community.
